Tian Tang is a concert pianist, interdisciplinary artist, and dedicated educator whose work blends music with painting, poetry, and storytelling. Her artistic dedications—ranging from multimedia concerts to artist salon series—invite audiences into immersive, cross-disciplinary experiences. A DMA candidate at Northwestern University, she teaches academic courses such as Music and Film and Art Music Appreciation, as well as 1-on-1 piano lessons and studio classes. She leads the innovative pedagogical project Interactive Piano Workshop, and advocates for community outreach. Beyond the stage, she finds joy in writing, painting, and nature, and is working on personal collections of poetry and prose—A Tree upon the Sea: Poems in Musical Refraction, and Remnants and Dandelions.
